The Avett Brothers at ExactTarget Connections

October 15, 2013by Sean HenriNo Comments

Being in marketing sometimes comes with amazing perks, such as my recent opportunity to see one of my favorite bands, The Avett Brothers, and Imagine Dragons from the front row at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

RAM

May 22, 2012by Sean HenriNo Comments

Paul McCartney released his and Linda’s 1971 album “RAM” today, and to promote it  came up with this really cool “Percy Thrillington” campaign.  The name Percy Thrillington traces back to a fictional character he created in 1977 for the album “Thrillington“, an instrumental cover version of the album “RAM”.  There’s all sorts of cool stuff included with the re-release including a documentary about the album called “Ramming”, a snippet of which is posted above.

As a part of the campaign they’ve set up both a Facebook page and a Twitter account for Percy, which I’ve been attempting to interact with quite a bit. We even invited him along to our wedding 🙂

@P_Thrillington Ms. Kelly B. and I would be honored if Percy Thrillington & Clint Harrigan joined us on our wedding day bit.ly/JdweBR

The Avett Bros in NYC

May 13, 2012by Sean HenriNo Comments

Kelly and I went to see the Avett Brothers last Wednesday night at Terminal 5 in NYC. Amazing, amazing show and a great band. Definitely worth seeing if you ever get the opportunity. Below is a video from that night of Scott Avett singing “Murder in the City”.

The top 75 most played songs on my iPhone

May 10, 2010by Sean Henri4 Comments

In response to a request by @MrsdelCampo on twitter, here’s the top 75 most played songs on my iPhone & iTunes.  The count began in June of 2009, so the list is a combination of temporary obsessions from the past year and “tried and true” favorites. I suspect the songs on this list will be dramatically different in another twelve month’s time.

Ben Folds and a Piano

April 6, 2010by Sean HenriNo Comments

I had the chance to see Ben Folds at the Klein Auditorium in Bridgeport tonight. Great show, although some songs were strange without their orchestrations. The crowd just had to make up for it.
