Hey Beatles fans – If you ever get the chance I strongly suggest checking out the "Beatles Brunch" at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill on 42nd St. in Manhattan. For $40 you get an all you can eat buffet and 2 hours of Beatles songs performed live. The tribute band calls themselves Strawberry Fields and 3 of their members are former cast-members of the Broadway show Beatlemania. They’ve got the music down to the exact note, do 3 costume changes, and they put on an incredibly good show.
You get a wide variety of Beatles songs – from their early days with songs like "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" and "Till There Was You", through the psychedelic era with "Norwegian Wood" and a very interesting version of "A Day in the Life", and then later songs like "Dig a Pony" and "Rocky Raccoon". They’ve got the facial expressions, hair, and performance styles down extremely well, and while they’re a little bit overweight, you get a tiny hint of what it must of been like to actually see The Beatles perform live. I guess that’s why they were the ones chosen to play at the 40th anniversary of The Beatles’ Shea Stadium performance in 2005. Trust me… you get good food and a great Beatles tribute band. You cant lose.
