I’m going camping in Massachussetts until Friday so there will be no updates for a few days. I’ll post some pictures once I’m back.
SCIENTISTS have created eerie zombie dogs,
reanimating the canines after several hours of clinical death in
attempts to develop suspended animation for humans.
So now we can raise dogs from the dead. It’s kinda creepy but I guess it’s a good thing. It’ll be interesting to see how successful this is on humans. The procedure only works for a couple of hours, so it couldn’t be used to put people to sleep for years in order to wait for future medical advances. But it could be useful for victims of gunshot wounds or stabbings.
During the procedure blood is replaced with saline solution at a few
degrees above zero. The dogs’ body temperature drops to only 7C,
compared with the usual 37C, inducing a state of hypothermia before
Although the animals are clinically dead, their tissues and organs are perfectly preserved.
Damaged blood vessels and tissues can then be repaired via
surgery. The dogs are brought back to life by returning the blood to
their bodies, giving them 100 per cent oxygen and applying electric
shocks to restart their hearts.

I just read a report in the Washington Times by Bill Gertz that scared the hell out of me:
China is building its military forces faster than U.S. intelligence and
military analysts expected, prompting fears that Beijing will attack
Taiwan in the next two years, according to Pentagon officials.
U.S. defense and intelligence officials say all the signs
point in one troubling direction: Beijing then will be forced to go to
war with the United States, which has vowed to defend Taiwan against a
China’s military buildup includes an array of new high-technology
weapons, such as warships, submarines, missiles and a maneuverable
warhead designed to defeat U.S. missile defenses. Recent intelligence
reports also show that China has stepped up military exercises
involving amphibious assaults, viewed as another sign that it is
preparing for an attack on Taiwan.
Then the report goes on to compare China to Nazi Germany:
China’s economy has been growing at a rate of at least 10 percent for
each of the past 10 years, providing the country’s military with the
needed funds for modernization.
The combination of a vibrant centralized economy, growing
military and increasingly fervent nationalism has transformed China
into what many defense officials view as a fascist state.
"We may be seeing in China the first true fascist society on
the model of Nazi Germany, where you have this incredible resource base
in a commercial economy with strong nationalism, which the military was
able to reach into and ramp up incredible production," a senior defense
A report produced for the Office of Net Assessments, which assesses future threats, said that China sees the United States as a threat not only because of its vow to defend Taiwan against a Chinese attack, but also because of "its military superiority, its
willingness to disrupt China’s energy imports, its perceived
encirclement of China and its disposition toward manipulating
The report stated that China will resort "to extreme, offensive and
mercantilist measures when other strategies fail, to mitigate its
vulnerabilities, such as seizing control of energy resources in
U.S. officials have said two likely targets for China are the
Russian Far East, which has vast oil and gas deposits, and Southeast
Asia, which also has oil and gas resources.
Richard Fisher, vice president of the International Assessment and Strategy Center, says that China will soon be capable of space warfare and global non-nuclear missle strikes. He explains the current situation very clearly:
"Let’s all wake up. The post-Cold War peace is over. We are now in an arms race with a new superpower whose goal is to
contain and overtake the United States."
Thought this was funny but also kind of rude at the same time. Tom Cruise was giving an on-the-spot interview at a premier of "War of the Worlds" in London when he was squirted in the face with water from a fake microphone.
Cruise kept his cool and said "I’m here giving you an interview and answering your questions and you do something really nasty. You’re a jerk."
Four people were arrested and could face charges. Here’s the VIDEO.
Why can’t I just sleep like a normal person does? It’s almost 2 A.M. and as usual I’m wide awake and my mind is thinking about a million things at once. I’ve been trying to just clear my head and relax at night but I haven’t found a good way to do that yet. So since I can’t sleep and have nothing better to do, I’ll update everybody on a few things.
My personal website, SeanHenri.com, has had the words "coming soon" on it for almost half a year now. The reason for that is I haven’t been able to decide exactly what I want my website to have on it. Well I’ve finally made up my mind. I’m going to use it as a portal to everything I post on the internet, including this blog, Riceminers.com, pictures, maybe some video, and whatever else I feel like throwing on there. I hope to have that ready in a couple of weeks, but I say that a lot, so we’ll see how long it actually takes.
As for Riceminers, expect the new photos every now and then, and maybe a new video sometime down the road…. maybe. Just don’t keep your fingers crossed. I have no plans of ever shutting the website down, so even if I never post another video you can expect Riceminers to stay online for years to come. It’s not that I don’t want to make new stuff, it just never seems to come together. Riceminers was a project I started with my friends back in high school. Now that we are all older, it’s just a lot harder to do those kinds of things. But we all always talk about doing something new, so there is hope.
As for this blog, I know I don’t post that much right now, but I expect to be posting more and more as time goes on. I would post more right now but nobody ever leaves any comments. It seems like a good number of people check this blog each day, so how come nobody ever says a word?! Please leave comments!
